The manager, Keith Masman tries to keep up a cheery bravado but it is clear that the memorial in his charge is wilting through lack of funds or direction from its owners. Perhaps the state is ready to step in, but one wonders if there is enough left to preserve.

Keith stands on the steps and muses about Boyd “the wealthiest man in Australia” concluding that Boyd was just one of those blokes who started things and never finished them!
