Lawson In Mallacoota

On another trip along to Cape Howe, they stopped at Lake Barracoota and Lawson built a “proper bush camp” which took two days to complete. It was still standing in 1925 and may still have parts in evidence!
For the “Bulletin” in 1910 Henry wrote the following poem, part reprinted here:
“I’m staying at the lake-side home, down, here at Never-mind,
The small hand separator is the only change I find,
And there’s a girl with kin grey eyes and hair of reddish gold,
