A Corner full of Characters,Love of Mallacoota

They’ve got at least six Silent Night Kero fridges in that pavilion and we haven’t yet figured out if they’re ALL full of beer, but if we ever do, it’ll take us a couple of extra days to get down the Snake track.

But under the Big Tree is surely the most pleasant grandstand of all. You can look out across the Tasman sea or over to the brooding blue Howe Ranges. A town has to have a heart and it is never a public building, although a pub often goes close, it is usually a natural feature and to me Mallacoota’s heart is under the Big Tree.
