A Corner full of Characters,Love of Mallacoota

Bert lectures his group and emphasises important points by prodding his stick at a tourist. He is wary of smart alec tourists but loves children and always has a joke for them. With his group of captive tourists in front of him he begins like this: “If you have a look here, see this here” pointing with his stick at a huge skeleton, “this is not a whale this thing you’re looking at here, no fear, this is Grampus Orca this is, the most feared thing in the sea. Everything gets out of his way, lovely little fish isn’t he madam”, and he prods at a startled lady tourist’s handbag.
