A Corner full of Characters,Love of Mallacoota

There is another old ruin on the shores of the aquamarine water of Bittangabee Bay. It is an old boat shed made from ancient concrete and is dated at around 1940. Inside and out there are strange legends which look like “Bill from Wagga was here in 1969” and “Michelle loves Craig – True”, surrounded by a pierced heart. These make one wonder even more about the Australian heritage.

Fortunately, the old stone walls of what was probably a Boyd outpost have not been damaged in the same way as the old boat shed and if it wasn’t for the historical rumour that they pre dated Cook’s ‘discovery’ of Australia, they would be quite ordinary stone ruins.
