Logan than attempted, and nearly succeeded, in creating a separate state bounded by the Cann River in the south, the Bega River in the north and the junction of the Murray and Murrumbidgee in the west.
The Depression of the 1930s put a stop to all plans for this develop mcnt but in the late 1940s, ten years after Logan’s death, the Snowy scheme commenced, based on the original plans drawn up by this canny Scot. Logan provided a separate power station for the township of Eden and was generous in his help for local groups, providing hall for guides and other groups and founding the Eden Museum.
