Despite the noise from Larry Gray’s throaty Kawasaki, eagles, rob­ins, tree creepers and goannas go about their lives as if he isn’t there.

At Mallacoota, on the extreme eastern corner of Victoria, Larry Gray, one of Australia’s most promising young riders has designed a track along European lines which he believes is the toughest in Austral­ia.
