Mark Bennet, Larry’s timekeeper, training partner and No. 1 sup­porter, helped Larry design the track in steep bushland which has been set aside by local, Dick York, at no charge.

But that’s where Larry’s help stops. Despite winning the Australian title in the Grand National C Grade over 300cc event at Broadford in 1979 and the National Classic for all sizes at the same meeting, Larry is still unsponsored.
