A Corner full of Characters,Love of Mallacoota

That is the story of the “Ones Who Got Away”.
At the heart of Mallacoota there is a big tree, a Eucalyptus Maideni var Williamsonii, one of only three of that species.
This huge tree stands by the oval at Mallacoota and has watched over all the town’s football, cricket and tennis sides.
Kids climb in the branches while the spectators shelter from the sun or rain under its huge canopy.
Sport has a lot to do with the spirit and pride of a town. The way the players conduct themselves on the field is a reflection of the town and players tend to respond to the aspirations of the crowd.
